Gail Kirtz was born in Dundalk, MD and grew up in KY.  She has studied art in college and privately.  She has been a professional artist for sixteen years and has taught teenagers and adults for ten years

Her inspiration comes from her fascination with beauty of the landscape, even on dreary days. The play of light and shadow intrigue her.  Her vibrant, painterly, impressionistic work has a spiritual quality. 
 
Kirtz incorporates good use of the principles of art to create high quality works in a variety of mediums.  

She has exhibited in One Woman Shows, as well as local and national  juried shows, winning over two hundred awards.
